This currant has now been before the public a number of years, and we believe has pretty well sustained the claims of its disseminator, who sa> s of it : "Color rich red; as compared with the Cherry currant. Fay's prolific is equal in size, better in flavor, containing less acid, and five times as prolific, and from its long, peculiar stem, less expensive to ; Lee's Prolific. A black variety of recent in- troduction, and perhaps the best of its class. Earlier than Black Naples, with the pecu- liar musky flavor of that variety; fruit large ; very prolific. La Versaillaise. One of the largest and best currants ; an enormous bearer ; red ; flavor good ; very similar to Cherr}-. Prince Albert. A moderately vigorous grow- er ; large foliage : fruit large, bright red ; late. Red Dutch. Larger than the common red, and clusters much larger and less acid ; one of the best red currants. Red Grape. \'ery large ; bunch very long ; beautiful red color ; a little more acid than the Red Dutch ; ver\' productive. Victoria. A late variety, of rather large size ; red ; bunch long ; productive. White Grape.
