The Amsterdam Muziektheater is a building complex on the Waterlooplein Square, housing both Amsterdam City Hall and the DNO, Dutch National Opera & Ballet. It is the main opera house in Amsterdam. It's nickname is Stopera, a portmanteau of Stadhuis and Opera (stadhuis = city hall). Architects: Cees Dam (opera) and Wilhelm Holzbauer (city hall) (1986)
