This sgraffito image of a stabbing - with the armoured assailant holding his victim by his beard - is one of two scenes framed by columns that are etched between windows in the ornate restored Renaissance façade of the historic burgher house at Horni náměstí (Upper Square) 517 in Slavonice, South Bohemia, Czechia or Czech Republic. Behind the façade lies a secret Lutheran (Protestant) prayer room with vivid Apocalypse frescoes of 1568 that somehow survived the Counter Reformation and the return by some Christians to Roman Catholicism.
