Recruits of Mike Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, sprint 880 meters during a combat fitness test at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, March 24. This is the first of three events that make up the test, and the recruits had to complete it in 2 minutes and 45 seconds for maximum points. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Mike Company is scheduled to graduate April 15.
