Chicken farming. Farmer adjusting feeding equipment (red) over chicken runs inside a farm shed. These hens, a breed of the domesticated chicken (Gallus domesticus), are fed on grain grown and milled on this farm. They are being raised for their eggs, which are sold in the farm shop, the Knowes Farm Shop, in Dunbar, East Lothian, Scotland. This farm and shop is operated by Peter and Hilary Cochran, winners of the 'Local Food Farmer of the Year' category in the 2010 Farmers Weekly Awards.
