Ripens mid-season and is especially popular in the West. Price, $3 50 per 1,000. Originated by Mr. S. H. Warren, of Auburn- dale, Massachusetts, and introduced by us two years ago. Mr. Warren was a veteran berry-grower and after growing the best varieties for fifty-eight years, he considered Warren the best he had ever seen. After having fruited this variety and having received much favorable comment on it from our customers, we are prepared to recommend it very highly. It does best on loamy soil, not being so well adapted to the lighter types. Plants are exceedingly vigorous, with a dark green leathery foliage, and produce a splendid crop of large, high- quality, high-colored berries, which have taken first prize at the Massa- chusetts Horticultural Show. For the North and West, we consider Warren one of the most valuable varieties on the market. Mrs. F. B. Peyton, of Albemarle County, Virginia, says: "I want you to know how thoroughly satisfied I am with the yield, size, and delicious flavor of the Chesapeake and Warren Strawberries from the plants gotten from you last year. They were certainly the finest fruit we have ever ; Give it a trial on some good rich land. You will be surprised and pleased with the result. Price, $5 per 1,000.
