This market remains quiet, with a busy dny now .nnd then caused by sonic unusual demand. Tlic worst of the warm weather is believed to be over. While the heat has held business down some- what, the summer lias been up to nor- mal and ]i('rh;i]is even better. It is quite certain that business has held bettor here than in many cities. Stock is in fair supply and good condition. Recent heavy rains have helped it. Scabiosas, delphiniums and other gar- den flowers have withstood the heat remarkably well. Various Notes. The W. L. Rock Flower Co., Rock's Flower Gardens and the Pinehurst Floral Co. scored well in the annual exhibition of the Missouri Horticultural Society at the state fair and Missouri centennial celebration in Sedalia, Mo.,.
