CREEPINQ PHLOXES. The Creeping Phloxes are among the most charming of hardy plants. They cover the ground with a mat of ever- green foliage and at all times and during the month of May make the most beauti- ful carpet of white or pink flowers. The bloom is so dense that the foliage is en- tirely hidden. These Phloxes bloom again in the Fall but not so freely. They are very useful for border edging, rock work or covering bare banks. One of our native varieties that is but rarely met with, and which has been introduced in Europe the past few years as a novelty.
