National bird parrot St Vincent and the grenadines
The St. Vincent Amazon, Amazona guildingii also known as St. Vincent Parrot is a large, approximately 40cm long, multi-colored amazon parrot with a yellowish white, blue and green head, greenish-bronze upperparts plumage, grey feet, reddish eye, and violet blue-green wings and tail feathers. Both sexes are similar. The young has lighter plumage and brown iris. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is an island nation in the Lesser Antilles chain of the Caribbean Sea. Its 389-square-kilometre (150 sq mi) territory consists of the main island of Saint Vincent and the northern two-thirds of the Grenadines. The country has a British colonial history and is now part of the Commonwealth of Nations and CARICOM. The Grenadines are a Caribbean island chain of over 600 islands in the Windward Islands. They are divided between the island nations of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Grenada.
