The South Park Bridge - South Park Neighborhood, Seattle, Washington


The South Park Bridge is a double-leaf bascule bridge connects South Park's main business district to Seattle, near Boeing Field. The bridge was completed in 1931 and is scheduled to close permanently on June 30, 2010 due to its deterioration. The bridge was in already poor condition when it was damaged in the Nisqually earthquake in 2001.
