From left to right: US geneticist Leslie Clarence Dunn (1893-1974), Russo-French geneticist Boris Ephrussi (1901-1971), and German-US geneticist Curt Stern (1902-1981). Dunn (Columbia University) studied developmental genetics. Ephrussi (University of Paris) worked on embryology. Stern (University of Rochester) worked on the genetics of the fruit fly and gene regulation.
