It has, however, been estimated that they nowhave in the State of Pennsylvania, about 100 ministers, and 180 placesof worship; in Virginia, 30 or 40 ministers, and about as many placesof worship ; in Maryland, Ohio, Indiana, and New York, 80 or 90ministers, and 130 places of worship; in all America, according to thecensus of 1850, 250 ministers, about 410 places of public worship, af-fording accommodation for 29,900 persons, and of the value of $94,245,and about 50,000 communicants.
