Lucy resides in ButlerCounty, Ohio, near the place of her birth. The parents were mar-ried near Trenton, New Jersey, and when Washington fought thebattle of Trenton the cannon was distinctly heard by Mrs. marriage Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Baker removed to Red-stone, Pennsylvania, where they lived two or three years, thenstarted for Butler County, Ohio, on the Big Miami River; buthearing of serious trouble with the Indians, they stopped one yearon the Hockhocking River below Wheeling, then spent a year inCincinnati. In the year 1800 they removed to Monroe, ButlerCounty, Ohio. After that, and to the present time, it has beencalled Bakers Hill. The mother died in Preble County, Ohio,January 6, 1843, the father having died a few months previous, in i4.
