Soyuz TMA-11M rollout. Train carrying the spacecraft and rocket for the Soyuz TMA-11M mission to a launch pad at the Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan, on 5 November 2013. This launch took place on 7 November, carrying three of the Expedition 38 crew to the International Space Station (ISS): Soyuz Commander Mikhail Tyurin (Roscosmos: Russia), Flight Engineer Rick Mastracchio (NASA: USA), and Flight Engineer Koichi Wakata (JAXA: Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency). They spent six months on the ISS. The Soyuz TMA-11M mission also carried the Olympic flame into space for the first time, returning five days later on board TMA-09M.
