A stone statue of Chac-Mool atop the Temple of Warriors looks toward the massive Kukuklan step-pyramid called El Castillo in the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. It is among several such statues first discovered at that ancient archaeological site in 1879.
