Royal Border Bridge, Berwick upon Tweed


Built by railway pioneer Robert Stephenson and opened by Queen Victoria, the bridge strides gracefully across the River Tweed. This grade one listed viaduct with 28 arches was completed in 1850, and is still in regular use today as part of the main Newcastle-Edinburgh East Coast Main Line
