210710-N-RG587-2100 ATLANTIC OCEAN (July 10, 2021) Gunner's Mate Seaman Bailee Hartshorn, from Elsah, Illinois, fires a .50-caliber machine gun aboard the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Vella Gulf (CG 72), during a live fire exercise in the Atlantic Ocean, July 10. Vella Gulf is operating with the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group on a routine deployment in the Sixth Fleet area of operations in support of national interests and security in Europe and Africa.
