Disintegrating mortuary pole covered with salal (Gaualtheriqa shallon), K'uuna Llnagaay (Skedans) Gwaii Haanas, BC


Ḵ’uuna Llnagaay is a Haida village located on the northeast corner of Louise Island. At its height, the village had between 26 to 30 longhouses and many frontal poles, mortuary poles and mortuary figures and a few carved memorial and mortuary poles remain standing today along with the depressions of several longhouses.
