Masham Sheep Breeds, groomed show animals, slick sheared pure-breds, livestock, halter showing at the Masham Sheep Fair, North Yorkshire Dales, UK

“Masham sheep have been bred for over one hundred years in the northern counties of England, and are known by those you attempt to sheer them as "mad" Masham. The Masha’s hardiness and longevity are the result of parentage: a cross of the Teeswater or Wensleydale with a Dalesbread or Swaledale ewe. The lustrous fleece is in great demand for speciality uses including the Italian fashion industry, and is also used for quality carpets and upholstery. The Masham produces quality meat.”
