This big truck is a genuine Peterbilt 359 aluminium bonnet and cab with a Big block 454 ci cubic inch litre Chevrolet V8 engine and a General Motors TH-400, 3 speed automatic gearbox with a military transfer case offering 2 or 4 wd wheel drive and high low ranges. It has Power front steering with independent electronically controlled rear steering and Pettibone mobile crane axles with a 50 tonne rating. Suspension is with heavy duty leaf springs with 5 Shockers and a Michelin Mega X tyres per corner.
