8 ZHANJIANG, China (June 14, 2017) Adm. Scott Swift, commander of Pacific Fleet, speaks to People’s Liberation Army (Navy) (PLAN) Vice Adm. Wang Hai, commander of the PLAN South Sea Fleet, aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Sterett (DDG 104) during a scheduled port visit to Zhanjiang, China. Sterett is part of the Sterett-Dewey Surface Action Group and is the third deploying group operating under the command and control construct called 3rd Fleet Forward.
