They succeed in any position, and can be used to advantage, either as single specimens in the mixed border, or as large clumps or beds in the garden or lawn. The truss- es or flower heads are of immense size and each floret is large and beautifully fringed or feathered. The habit of the plant is free and graceful; it produces long, slender stems, drooping, apparently from the weight of the flowers and buds, although the flowers face so none of their beauty is lost. It is marvelously free flowering, of large size, measuring from 2 to 2V2 inches in diameter, in color a rich golden yellow, which is rendered still more effective by numerous yellow stamens and crimson anthers.
