Proboscis fully developed ; palpi obliquely upturned, the 2nd joint reaching about to middle of frons and moderately fringed with scales in front, the 3rd short; frous with heart-shaped corneous prominence with raised edges, its lower edge produced to a point; eyes large, round ; antennte of male somewhat laniinaie and minutely ciliated; thorax clothed chiefly with scales, the prothoras without crest, the metathorax with spreading crest, the patagia somewhat curled upwards at extremities; tibiae moderately fringed with hair, the fore tibite with small spine on outer side at extremities ; abdomen without crests. Fore vving with the apex produced and acute, the termen evenly curved and not crenulate ; veins 3 and 5 from near angle of cell; 6 from upper angle ; 9 from 10 anastomosing with 8 to form the areole ; 11 from cell. Hind vving with veins 3, 4 from angle of cell; 5 obsolescent from below middle of discocellulars; G, 7 shortly stalked ; 8 anastomosing with the cell near base only. 4630. Polenta tepperi. Head white, the palpi, frous, and antenuse tinged with olive- brown ; thorax white mixed with olive-brown; fore legs suffused with brown ; abdomen white dorsally tinged with brown. Fore wing white suffused with olive-brown, the inner margin with slight whitish streak ; antemedial line white, straight, oblique with some deeper olive-brown suffusion before it on costa; a slight white discoidal line; postmedial line white, oblique from costa to vein 6 where it is acutely angled, then very oblique to middle of inner.
