The repeating and symmetrical pattern is formed by an open network of braids, made with a relatively coarse wire. It consists of a chain of circular motifs, filled with an x or finer meshes. The circles are connected to each other by double, placed on top of each other without filling. Top and bottom of the strip are straight. The chain with motifs is connected to this with X-shaped crossed braids, always under the double oval recesses. Italy
