Jim Morrison of THE DOORS was born in this house on Vernon Place in Melbourne Florida on December 8 1943 Admiral George Morrison and wife Clara had two more children and relocated to San Diego when Jim was a toddler He later lived with his Grandparents in Clearwater Florida but that house no longer exists James Douglas Morrison died and was buried in Paris France on July 3 1971
