Diabetic macular oedema, OCT macular cube scan


Ocular coherence tomography (OCT) macular cube scan of a section through the retina of the left eye a patient showing diabetic macular oedema (DMO). DMO is a condition seen in people with diabetes, where leaky vessels cause fluid to build in the macula at the centre of the retina. It is the most common cause of sight loss in people with diabetes.
