WHITE BEACH, Okinawa (June 6, 2017) Landing Craft Air Cushion 30, assigned to Naval Beach Unit (NBU) 7, enters the well deck of the dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48). The ship is in port to embark the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit personnel, vehicles and equipment. Ashland, attached to the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group (ARG), is operating in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region to serve as a forward-capability for any type of contingency.
