A compass, from the tugboat "Reward". A wooden, gimbal mounted, liquid filled compass with bronze fittings, made by Lilley & Reynolds, London. Binnacle housing, compensation spheres and map holder, level. Its origin is marked on an engraved brass plate. Total height 135 cm. The "Reward" was a tugboat of the Bustler Class. The keel was laid in 1944. It was rammed in dense fog by a container vessel in the Firth and sunk on 10 August 1976.
