Andalthough S. R. Barr, the Superintendentof the Relief Department, has alreadycovered this ground comprehensively ina series of interesting articles publishedin this Magazine, it is felt that a repeti-tion of some of his statements is necessaryto a complete understanding of thisarticle. The Relief Department is divided intothree auxiliary features, namely: Relief,Savings and Pensions. The Relief Feature has for its objectthe payment of benefits to members dis-abled by sickness or injury, and the pay-ment of life insurance on account of thedeath of its members from any cause.
