Puffin. — This bird has a large head and an immense bill, much com- pressed laterally, and coloured in a remark- able manner; the tip is f)range, then come three parallel blue lines on a yellow ground, then a broad triangular blue patch and a yellow line; round the corners of the mouth is a yellow corrugated membrane, and the top of the upper mandible is reddish orange.
