Charles Barkhurst, 88th Air Base Wing vice commander, firers the starting pistol for the 2022 Air Force Marathon’s Tailwind Trot Sept. 16, 2022, on the Wright State University campus in Fairborn, Ohio. More than 8,500 runners and 1,500 volunteers from all 50 states and 18 different countries came out to run in the race’s 26th year.
