Heath, Chicago, and James S. Kirk, Minonk. The Oldest Woman. The oldest woman inthe county is Mrs. VolkeUphoff, who was bornin Riepe, Germany, in1811. If she lives untilJune 4th, 1910, she willhave reached her 99thyear. She was the wifeof Wait Uphoff, whosedeath occurred a num-ber of years ago. Theycame to America in 1855and remained in Peoriatwo years. They thencame to Clayton town-ship and settled on thefarm in 1857. Thecountry was then wildand almost unsettled,MRS.
