Jones, of the Jones-Russell Co., of Cleveland, who was looking over the market in search of the best sources of supply for the large quantities of liigh-grade stock this concern's business requires. H. Welke, of the E. Welke Co., Mil- waukee, was in Chicago November 3, attending to business connected with the new store just opened, wliich is the old one completely rebuilt, at Third street. C. O. Wilcox, of Wood, Stubbs & Co., Louisville, Ky., was in town for a few days this week. He no longer sells to florists, but he likes to visit the market. E. D. Ludwig, son of T. J. Ludwig and that progressive florist's right-hand man, w^as here from Columbus, O., last week, buying cut flowers and supplies. He also arranged for the publication of his book of floral designs. It is said that Mr. Ludwig has the only studio in which floral subjects exclusively are photographed.
