HEART FLUTTER, ILLUSTRATION

Atrial flutter is a disorder of teh rhythm. It is defined as the quick contraction of the atria (atrial tachycardia), steady and continous, with a saw-toothed aspect on the ECG. The electrical activity between the sinus node (at the top of the right atrium) and the auriculoventricular node (between the right atrium and the right ventricle) bukles on itself.
