Treetop forest laboratory. Researcher in a forest laboratory checking sensors that measure factors such as wind speed and humidity. The equipment is installed on a 50-metre-tall tower rising above the tree tops. This laboratory is operated by the CEFE (Centre d'Ecologie fonctionnelle et Evolutive), the largest French research centre in ecology. The laboratory is located in a holm oak forest near Puechabon, southern France. The research includes assessments of climate change.
