AHMED 01 Monarch of Marsabit Kenya 1963
AHMED was a physically small elephant but with tusks that weighed 148 lbs each He lived on the Marsabit reserve in Kenyas Northern frontier district Jomo Kenyatta declared him a Living National monument and AHMED had constant protection until his death of natural causes in January 1974 His age estimated to be between 55 and 60
