After Hurricane Rita in Texas and Louisiana, American Electric Power (AEP) dispatched 918 emergency personnel from 11 U S states
AEP helped restore service to 12 counties or Parishes in the two imperiled states. An AEP crew in suburban Shreveport, LA is installing a new recloser which automatically restores power service after repeated lightning strikes.
