TUCSON, Ariz. – Tucson Sector Border Patrol Search Trauma and Rescue agents together with Mobile Response Team agents, rescued a Mexican man Wednesday afternoon who fell 35 feet from a cliff west of Ajo. MRT agents tracking a group of suspected illegal aliens witnessed a man fall from a cliff and immediately requested emergency medical assistance and air support. Nearby BORSTAR and MRT agents responded quickly and were assisted by a Pinal County Sheriff air unit that airdropped a medical supply bag and coordinated communications. The unconscious man was prepared for transport by Border Patrol
TUCSON, Ariz. – Tucson Sector Border Patrol Search Trauma and Rescue agents together with Mobile Response Team agents, rescued a Mexican man Wednesday afternoon who fell 35 feet from a cliff west of Ajo. MRT agents tracking a group of suspected illegal aliens witnessed a man fall from a cliff and immediately requested emergency medical assistance and air support. Nearby BORSTAR and MRT agents responded quickly and were assisted by a Pinal County Sheriff air unit that airdropped a medical supply bag and coordinated communications. The unconscious man was prepared for transport by Border Patrol agents. Pima County provided airlift extraction from the rocky terrain. An air ambulance waiting nearby flew the patient to a Phoenix area hospital for emergency medical treatment. Once medically cleared he will be processed for immigration violations.
