The attend- ance was not so large as was expected. At 9 a. m. the executive committee's meeting was called to order by President Wiilter Amling, of Pana, 111. The roll call showed the following present: W. J. Pilcher, W. A, Kowe, Joseph Deutsch- mann, of Kirkwood, Mo.; C. E, De- Wever, of Olivette, Mo.; W. J. Hem- breiker and A. C. Brown, Springfield, 111.; Ludwig Stapp, of Rock Island, 111.; James N. Cole, Peoria, 111., and J. J. Beneko, St. Louis. The only absentee was T. W. Ross, of Centralia, 111. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. The secretary's an- nual report was held over for the general session. The chair called for reports of committees. Each chairman reported that his committee would hold a meeting
