One or two of the Indians have an old wagon and some verydiminutive horses. Osceola has two perfectly white horses, strong,hardy little animals, which draw about an old wagon when he movesfrom place to place. Usually, the squaws and pappooses ride in thewagon, while the men walk, and the pigs are tied underneath or elseled by a squaw. It was at one time customary for hunting parties to wander somedistance to the north and to the south of their present settlements, and. The young children run about naked untilthev arrive at the age of eight or ten years, when they are given acotton shirt. Sometimes the small children wear some sort ofcovering during the cold weather. The Indians visit each other a great deal.
