Forest gate at the Polish-Russian border in Krynica Morska, here also the border between the EU and the Russian Federation

Krynica Morska, Poland - May 2, 2013: Forest gate at the Polish-Russian frontier near the Baltic Sea coast, which at this point is also the border between the European Union and the Russian Federation. The non-EU area on the Baltic Coast between Poland and Lithuania is a Russian enclave called The Kaliningrad Oblast. Although it has no land connection to the rest of the country, it remains the westernmost part of the Russian Federation. It was created after the World War II and in 1991 the fall of the Soviet Union left it isolated from the rest of the country. The Kaliningrad Oblast has the population of around 1mln people.
