The Sentinel stands near the entrance to Zion Canyon. Made of Navajo Sandstone, the geological formations of the Canyon are coloured red in their lower layers by iron oxides. Zion National Park is one of Utah's most spectacular parks, and attracts thousands of visitors every year.
