Bideford based textile artist, Alison Murray stands alone by the water's edge at Appledore, Devon with several of the knitted lighthouses she has been donated which will form part of her latest ambitious knitted creation 'Above and Below The Waves'. Over 2000 people have contributed knitted objects from all over the world sea creatures, lobsters, lighthouses, jellyfish, deep sea divers as each day the postman delivers something new which Alison then makes into her 9m by 6m creation. The knitted installation reflects the coastline theme of this years Appledore Visual arts festival and will be on display between the 3-6 June in Devon.
