In 1850 the Americus Pleasurelull sprang from Engine Company No. 6. The father of the club was JohnVtts. While in Greenwich in 1858, Mr. Dunley being at the time treasurer. weed joined the club, and their name was shortened to the Americus Club.[r. Dunley held the position of treasurer until 18T3, and the club disbandeda 1874. He was also first lieutenant of the Gouverneur Blues (Captain WILLIAM B. DUN LEV. }?.() OUR FIREMEN.
