Let's Pretend It's A Fest is organized by punk rock music fan Peter Shaw, who is the founder of Let's Pretend Records, and typically runs concurrently with the Plan-It-X Fest in Bloomington, Indiana. Shaw has released records by bands such as the Sassdragons and the Screaming Females (who later toured with Jack White). Shaw runs the label as a hobby from a spare bedroom at his apartment. Often Shaw pays to have records made using money he saves from working his day job.
