He then entered Asbury University, at Greencastle, Ind., andremained two years. Having completed his studies there, and havingread law for two years prior to this, in 1872 he entered the Law De-partment of the University at Ann Arbor, Mich., graduating from therein 1874, after which he returned to Middlebury, Ind., and formed a lawpartnership with G. W. Wiltse, with whom he remained three years.
