Original Cartoon from Punch Magazine 16 August 1899 by John Tenniel (1820-1914). The Secret Dossier (provided by the military which neither Dreyfus nor his lawyer was allowed to see) at the start of his original trial was revealed at the second trial in 1899. Napoleon is looking at the French generals with contempt. Titled the Degenerates below which it reads, Shade of 'Le Petit Corporal.' 'Vive L'armee! Yes! But it was not with generals like you that I won my campaigns!
