DIOSFYROS Kaki (Japan Persimmon). This is a valuable fruit for the south, but the trees are not hardy north of Richmond. Ya. D. Virginiana (American Persimmon). 40 cts. to 75 cts. FAGTJS ferruginea (American Beech). One of the most majestic native trees, always symmetrical and handsome: excellent for avenues, screens, and lawns: the smooth gray bai-k is an attractive feature, particularly in winter.
