The Dassault Falcon 50 is a French-built super mid-sized, long-range corporate jet, featuring a three jet engine layout with an S-duct central engine. It has the same fuselage cross-section and similar capacity as the earlier Falcon 20 twinjet but is a completely new design that is area ruled and includes a more advanced wing design. has completed delivery of the last of four Falcon 50 Surmar marine surveillance aircraft to the French Navy. All four aircraft have joined 24F squadron and will join four original aircraft operating from Lann-Bihoué military base in north west France. The last aircraft delivered is 1980 build Falcon 50 msn 34. The four aircraft have been transferred from the French Air Force’s VIP transport fleet. The upgrade includes the installation of a Thales Ocean Master 100 search radar, as well as a new cockpit and observation windows. Dassault Aviation performed the upgrade at its Bordeaux Mérignac site
