While the average strain is good there are differences inthe Hubbard type which should be recognized by progressive would indeed be strange if the varied and long-continued cultivation Packet, 10 cents; ounce, 15 cents; had failed to produce improved forms of this celebrated winter squash. Maules Improved Hubbard represents the perfection of the type. Itis the choicest type of Hubbard grown. The flesh is of a rich yellow or orange color, and is very fine grained,solid, dry and sweet.
